Instructions

In the HEAD section of your web page, include the following code block. Note that if you are already using jQuery, you can skip that include (ditto for jQuery Colorbox).

        <!-- Data Error Reporter -->
        <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://maps.co.mecklenburg.nc.us/report_data_problems/colorbox.css" media="screen" />
        <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
        <script  type="text/javascript" src="http://maps.co.mecklenburg.nc.us/report_data_problems/jquery.colorbox-min.js"></script>
        <script  type="text/javascript" src="http://maps.co.mecklenburg.nc.us/report_data_problems/report_data_errors.js"></script>
        <!-- End Data Error Reporter -->

Now all you'll need to do is insert a link or links with the class report_data_error.

        <a class='report_data_error' href="javascript:void(0);">Report Data Error</a>

Example:
Report Data Error

You can have some information automatically put in the error description text box if you like (site name, selected address, etc.). Just set a variable called error_data in your javascript code with whatever you want to see there. This is entirely optional.
