I - MAPPING

General Functionality

Heat Maps

Layers
  1. Open layer listing group by clicking the appropriate accordion control.
  2. Check the checkbox next to the desired layer(s) to display on map.
    (Some layers are scale dependent.)

ID
  1. Select layer to identify by clicking the desired button. When selected the layer button will be green.
  2. Click on a feature on the map to identify.


II - VACANT LAND SEARCH

  1. Select zip code via the dropdown.
  2. Select disired acreage from dropdown.
  3. Click the Go button.


III - BUILDING SEARCH

  1. Select zip code via the dropdown.
  2. Select property type(s) by checking the appropriate checkboxes.
  3. Select listing type(s) (for Sale or Lease) by checking the appropriate checkboxes.
  4. (Optional): Enter the minimum and maximum square footage to search for.
  5. Click the Go button.


IV - BUSINESS SEARCH

  1. Select zip code via the dropdown.
  2. Select property type(s) by checking the appropriate checkboxes.
  3. Select listing type(s) (for Sale or Lease) by checking the appropriate checkboxes.
  4. (Optional): Enter the minimum and maximum square footage to search for.
  5. Click the Go button.


V - RESULTS LISTING

Properties that meet the search criteria is displayed here. Five properties are listed at a time. Navaigate the results set by clicking the appropriate arrow on the results title bar.

Additional actions can be performed on the result set. Access actions by clicking the Actions dropdown on the results title bar.
  1. Results to PDF: Exports all search results to a PDF file.
  2. List All: Opens a new page that maps and lists all results
  3. Clear Results: Empties the result set.
  4. Bookmark: Bookmarks the result set.
Additional actions can be on individual properties with in the result set. Access actions by clicking the More dropdown on the property title bar.
  1. Reports: Select property and open property reports. Reports are displayed below the map.
  2. Zoom To Property: Zoom map to property location.
  3. Street View: Open Google Street View in a new window
  4. Birdseye View: Open Pictometry Oblique Imagery in a new window
  5. Real Estate Lookup: Open Mecklenburg County Tax Value and Building Information in a new window.
  6. Polaris 3G: Launch Mecklenburg County's Property Ownership Land Records Information System in a new window with property selected.


VI - PROPERTY REPORTS

Property information about the selected property. Information is seperated into four different reports.
Additional actions can be performed on property reports result set. Access actions by clicking the Actions dropdown on the results title bar. Actions vary based on the type of report.
  1. Hide/Show Graphs: Toggle graph visibility.
  2. Export to PDF: Exports all search results to a PDF file.
  3. Bookmark: Bookmark property reports.
Report Types:
  1. General displays general property, owner and building information.
  2. Businesses displays information about businesses located within a one mile buffer of property.
    • Click a row on the Business Types table to get a list of Businesses of that type.
  3. Construction displays information about building permits issued in the last calendar year within a one mile buffer of property.
    • Click a row on the Recent Construction table to get additional information about building permits of that type.
  4. Demographics displays demographic data of census block groups that are within one mile buffer of property. Selected census blocks will be highlighted on the map.


VII - BOOKMARKS

Bookmarks save the current selected set for ease of future reference. There is a limit of five bookmarks. Once a bookmark is created a Bookmark option will be available on the application menu. Bookmarks are stored for thirty days but can be deleted prior to the thirtieth day.
  • Click on Bookmarks on the application menu to access bookmarks.
  • Click bookmark text to return to bookmarked data.
  • Click on the to delete the bookmark.
Cookies must be enabled to utilize bookmarks.
