Open Mecklenburg uses Google Fusion Tables to allow citizens to view, map, mash up, and share data. Using Google Fusion Tables couldn’t be easier. If you can use a spreadsheet, you can use Google Fusion Tables.
Each data entry on this site will have 4 components: (1) Title, (2) Description, (3) Map, (4) Links.
- The Title and Description give you some information about the data layer.
- The Map will show a live, interactive view of the data. You can pan, zoom, change the background layer, and click on features to find out more about them.
- The Links take you to additional information about the data, directly to Google Fusion Tables so you can view, map, chart, and mashup the data, and directly to a KML file you can download and use in your own applications.
